Tech News for the Day, Monday, September 14

I’m planning to start the week off right with a little report on what is coming out.

For example, Toshiba’s JournE touch multimedia tablet. Looks cool, doesn’t it?

For those who are looking for the next exercise video game creation, look no further with the Domyos Interactive System.

Samsung has a new robot vacuum cleaner that could probably kick the Roomba’s dustbug with the Furot II.

Have you ever wanted a lock on your door that would email you when it is opened? Check out this one from the Kwikset.

Weekend Video Game Fix: Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings

Staff_of_KingsWhile I was doing some shopping at a Fred Meyer, I saw Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings on sale for $19.99. I couldn’t believe it! This video game just came out. Apparently, it was not a big hit.

To paraphrase a line from Robocop: “Now I’d buy that for twenty dollars”. I figured it was worth trying. After all, I still remember Indy back in his 1981 Raiders of the Lost Ark glory, something that faded after that last Kingdom of the Crystal Skull fiasco. Those of you who were disappointed at seeing aliens in that fourth Indy film should know that Indiana is back to finding religious artifacts again as the Staff of Kings is really the Staff of Moses.

See my full review here. I can’t really recommend the game, but if you are looking for a little action, this is a fun way to entertain yourself for a while. I’d recommend playing it with the Wii, then use the Nyko Action Pack.
