Microsoft pulls sponsorship of “Family Guy” episode
A while ago, Microsoft announced that it would be sponsoring a Family Guy episode that would air commercial-free, but would contain some obvious Windows 7 plugs.
This announcement appeared the day after I wrote my article about shows Christian people probably shouldn’t watch based on general principle. The one where I named Family Guy as a show that should be avoided.
It would appear that Microsoft mirrors my opinion. After discovering that the show contains “riffs on deaf people, the Holocaust, feminine hygiene, and incest”, they have pulled out as the advertiser for this episode.
In one statement, Microsoft said:
We initially chose to participate in the Seth and Alex variety show based on the audience composition and creative humor of ‘Family Guy,’ but after reviewing an early version of the variety show it became clear that the content was not a fit with the Windows brand…
No offense to Microsoft, but I can’t help but wonder why the deal was made in the first place when Family Guy has such a strong reputation as being one of the bawdiest shows on television! Clearly, someone at Microsoft saw that they could reach a certain audience with Family Guy, but they really should have watched an episode or two as research.

Hey,
I’m seeking help for the children of Haiti.
I’m doing this for a non-profit haiti organization that spends their time to
creating an oppurunity for the children in haiti. If anyone here wants to donate then this is the site:
Donate to Haiti or Help Haiti
They provide kids in Haiti a positive learning environment.
Yes, they’re legitimate.
I greatly appreciate anyone’s help

In today’s rocky economic climate, most households are cutting back wherever they can. I too faced the problem and wated to cut down on
cable tv, I tried P2P, but then not impressed with it. I started collecting ways to watch my favorite tv shows online.
I have listed then in my blogspot, I try to cover as many tv shows and matches as possible, to help others like
me to watch their favorite sports or tv shows online for free.
But my list is not complete, I don’t know where to find some international shows, for sports you have numerous resources, Can someone here help me with that?
Please tell me you favorite shows that you watch regularly and also some ideas to cover them. If you need to know the shows that I cover, then visit my blogs

This might be a bit off-topic but I believe there are a lot of smokers here on thegeekchurch.com. I have recently decided to find a good manufacturer of electronic cigarettes. I’m done with paying so much for tobacco cigarettes.A friend recommended G Smoke According to their website this is how they described their product:
“Green Smoke offers quality Electronic cigarettes with disposable cartridges that produce the highest smoke volume in the industry. With a variety of flavors and nicotine levels, Green Smoke’s™ patented product offers convenience and performance that is unmatched. G Smoke products have been independently tested for safety.”
I’m thinking of buying them. Anyone else have experience with this e-cigarette?

The French gourmet cheese Bleu d’Auvergne has a wonderful aroma, a rich taste; the saltiness increases with the incidence of veining. The overall flavor is piquant but not overly sharp. Bleu d’Auvergne started life as an imitation of Roquefort, using cow’s milk in place of sheep’s milk. Legend has it that a peasant, around 1845, decided to inject his cheese with a blue mold that he found growing on his left-over bread (the motto being, waste not, want not). And thus, the gourmet cheese Bleu d’Auvergne was born. This French gourmet blue cheese comes from the region of Auvergne and the cheese is made from milk of Salers and Aubrac cows. The rind is very thin and so the cheese is usually wrapped in foil. The cheese is rich and creamy with a pale yellow color and scattered holes and well-defined greenish-blue veining. We cut and wrap this cheese in wedge of 8 ounces and 1 pound.
