Nokia 6700 comes in gold

091209-n6700gold-01I honestly don’t know who the target audience is for this golden Nokia 6700 Classic Gold Edition is, but I’m guessing it is the rich. And by rich, I’m not talking Paris Hilton or Donald Trump rich, but Richie Rich or Scrooge McDuck rich.

Well, I’m assuming that this phone can do everything that the 6700, only it comes with “special wallpaper”. I don’t know what that is, but it has a limited edition 18-carat finish.

So is this a phone, jewelry, or both? Well, it should be out come 2010 for about $550.

You know, something like this makes you think. We are obviously not feeding the planet, we are apparently in some sort of economic recession, and yet this golden cell phones can be made. A sign of the times, but I’m not certain what times they are.

Try out a Nook now

500x_nook_next-to-paperbacksOh, that elusive Nook. As previously reported, you will not see it before the holidays.

However, if you are saving up money for after the holidays, and you just want to see it for yourself, feel free to head over to the Nook locator to find a Nook demonstration nearest you. Perhaps then you will decide that you really want a different e-book reader after all.

Dragon Diction from Nuance Communications, Inc.

facebook03b-280x138Nuance Communications Inc. has recently unveiled a new voice to text or diction that is available for iPhone users.

All that is required of the user is to speak a message in the phone, and then hit send. I haven’t tried it for myself, but generally, applications like this don’t work as simple as companies would like you to think.

Still, if it makes Twitter and Facebook updates easier, I say, let it fly. In the meantime, you should be able to pick up the Dragon Diction for free, for now.
