Porter Cable 20V Max Brushless Lithium Cordless Impact Driver Kit PCCK647LB

porter-cable-impact-driver-kitI have to admit that this review is a result of a mistake, and it was mine. About a week ago, Porter Cable, which is owned by Stanley/Black and Decker, sent me two power tools. What I had assumed is that they were the same power tool, with the 20V MAX 1/2 Inch Brushless Lithium Cordless Drill Driver (PCCK607LB). This review is about the Porter Cable 20V Max Brushless Lithium Cordless Impact Driver Kit PCCK647LB.

Just to let you know, this is an Impact Driver, not a Drill Driver. I will readily admit that I have no idea what the difference is. Yeah, I said in my last review that I am not a tool guy, but I am learning.

For example, the brushless motor is good for 50 percent more runtime, and it comes with two great 20 V batteries. It is also good for 1,400 in-lbs of torque with 2,700 MAX RPM.

Yes, you shouldn’t have any trouble doing work with this guy. Like the last Porter Cable product, I will highly recommend it. You should be able to get it on Amazon for about $148.34.

Porter Cable 20V MAX 1/2 Inch Brushless Lithium Cordless Drill Driver (PCCK607LB)

porter-cableThe other day, I was doing a little house project of hanging Christmas lights, and I was attempting to screw a…screw into my porch. Unfortunately, I could only get the screw to go so far before it just locked up on me. I was using the Black and Decker SMARTECH 20V MAX Lithium Drill/Driver for that job. At the risk of sounding like Tim Allen, I needed something with more power (grunt grunt grunt) which is why I will recommend the Porter Cable 20V MAX 1/2 Inch Brushless Lithium Cordless Drill Driver (PCCK607LB).

Just to let you know, Porter Cable’s parent company is Stanley Black and Decker. The 20V Max 1/2-inch Brushless Lithium Cordless Drill enabled me to screw in that screw that I mentioned before, and I believe it is the lack of brush that does it. Yeah, I don’t know what the lack of brush had to do with anything. Clearly, I am not a power tools man.

From what I can tell, the brushless motor provides 50 percent more runtime. The motor itself has a 370 MWO of power duty with a transmission with 1,800 MAX RPM. I’m not certain how much work you can get out of a single charge, because honestly, I’m not going sit there and just press the trigger for even a few long minutes.

You should be able to purchase the Porter Cable 20V MAX 1/2 Inch Brushless Lithium Cordless Drill Driver (PCCK607LB), you can get it places like Amazon for about $149.99. The price includes two 20 V Lithium batteries, a charger, and the drill driver itself. It is quite a good holiday gift if you have someone who is really into power tools and such.
