The Master and Dynamic ME01 Earphones Review

master and dynamicOkay, I have to admit that I am not familiar with every electronic device, but I am familiar with a lot of companies that make headphones and earbuds. I have never heard of Master and Dynamic, but that sounds like the Russell Crowe film Master and Commander (which I found to be quite boring). However, the ME01 from Master and Dynamic is not boring at all.

In fact, I’m going to say that these are a hidden gem in the littered world of earbuds. So, what does the ME01 have? We’ll start with the 8mm titanium high performance drivers, with a machine aluminum body. So yes, the sound is great.

Then there is the tangle resistant rubber cables, and it has a remote and mic controls for volume and such. There is also an omni-directional microphone as well, and an in-ear monitor.

All this, and it comes with a leather case as well as four sizes of silicone ear tips. It can be purchased on the Master and Dynamic site for $129 in Black Metal/Black Rubber as well as Gunmetal/Gunmetal Rubber.

Our Review of Patchworks PureCover 12.9-inch and 9.7-inch iPad Pro Protection Case

Patchworks iPad ProI have spoken at great length about ITG Patchworks products that includes a lot of reviews of screen protectors and cases. Today, I’m going to talk about some protection for the iPad Pro with the PureCover case.

It is a soft PU leather cover, which means that it is quite classy. Seriously, the first thing that I am going to say is that if you have a 12.9 inch iPad Pro, then you should just purchase this. Oh, and it is also has a 9.7 inch version.

The PureCover has the ability to fold up and be a stand, and it can be done two ways. It can lay flat at an angle, or stand upright at an angle. So this is quite a thing for viewing video footage. By the way, there is an auto sleep that can turn the iPad Pro on and off.

Of course, that is just for protecting the front of iPad Pro. As for the protection of the back of the iPad Pro, it has a clear body and UV coating. Don’t worry, you will be protected.

The PureCover also has an interesting pocket to protect the Apple Pencil, which you will also love to have.

So, I’m going to recommend this Patchworks product, and it can be found on the Patchworks site for $45 in Champagne Gold, Black, Gray, Navy Blue, and Pink. Oh, and don’t forget the 9.7 inch version as well.

Beyerdynamic Byron BT Wireless, Premium Wireless Earphones

Beyerdynamic Byron BTIt’s time for me to review another terrific Beyerdynamic product, and this one is the Byron BT wireless. Now, just to let you know, this is not one of those wireless earbuds that are like earplugs, but I’m hoping to review one of those type from Beyerdynamic later this year.

No, this is one of those earbuds that have some wires, but they connect to each other so they can go behind the neck. Speaking of connection, they connect wirelessly via Bluetooth, which is not new in any way. However, this uses Qualcomm aptX codecs with acoustic transducers. By the way, it has a three-button remote that allows for a hands-free microphone for taking calls.

So, yes, I have reviewed wireless earbuds like this before, like those from Jabra and others, so let’s talk about the specs. If you are concerned about the playtime, it is good for about 7.5 hours. I am assuming that is a long time, but it takes time to charge it (about two hours).

I suppose that I can recommend these, but with so many companies making these type of wireless earbuds, I’m not certain that I can recommend one brand over the other. Of course, I am always going to recommend anything from Beyerdynamic, and you can purchase these on the Beyerdynamic website for $99.00.

The Accell Powramid Air Power Center and USB Charging Station

Powramid AirIt’s been a few years since I have reviewed an Accell product, and I am back to reviewing the Powramid once again. This is the Powramid Air Power Center and USB Charging Station, and it is a sequel better than the original.

I believe that the original was called the Powramid because its shape resembled a pyramid. I believe that worked well because you know how certain plug-ins are big these days? However, the new Powramid Air is more of a discus. It is not totally flat, but it can hold a lot of big plug-ins (six), as well as two USB ports.

There is a six-foot power cord, and a scratch-resistant base. There is an odd on-off power button like right in the middle. I hope that won’t get triggered by accident and shut off the whole thing.

So if you are looking for a surge protector that is pretty good with 1080 Joules of surge protection, then head on over to the Accell Cables site and get the Powramid Air in white or black.

Cherry G80-3000 MX Board Silent Keyboard Review

cherry max board silentI’ve said before that when I review a keyboard, I write the article on it. This is what I am doing now, and I will say that Cherry’s MX Board Silent is quite something.

I have reviewed keyboards that said they were silent before, such as Matias Quiet Pro Keyboard but I have to admit there was a lot of clickity-clicking going on. In fact, it is really low in the click department, and my wife wants me to keep typing while she is trying to sleep. Think of it as a white noise machine, apparently.

I will have to admit that I love the look of the keyboard. It comes in black and white, and I had the chance to try out the white version. It has this look about it that reminds me of an IBM that I used to own back in the late eighties. The setup is almost exactly the same.

What is interesting is how the keyboard has both USB and the traditional keyboard connector functionality. It also has QWERTY key layout with 104 keys, and the user can operate 14 keys simultaneously.

So yes, I would love to recommend this, and you can get it on Cherry’s website for about $149.

Our Review of the Sennheiser PC 373D Gaming Headphones

SennheiserYes, it is another day, and it is another pair of gaming headphones. The PC 373D is from Sennheiser, and I am not certain if I have reviewed a product from them before.

The PC 373D has 7.1 Surround Sound, which is welcome for any gaming system, but it is made for the PC. Yes, this is not going to be good for other video game systems, but the PC gives it an interesting take on the computer with PC software so the gamer can program his or her experience.

Sennheiser seems really excited about this product, and they are very excited about the transducer. I’m not certain what that is, but apparently there is some high-end open acoustic gaming sound in each earcup. It has an equalizer offering four settings that enables the user to customize the sound.

The earcup are velevet lined, and so is the headband. This means that you are going to have a lot of comfort and good sound, all at the same time.

Now let’s talk about the microphone, as it is very noise-cancelling. It is made to filter out that pesky background noise, and if you want to mute it, just left it up. Also, it is very flexible as well.

While I am talking about flexibility, I want to talk about how flexible the whole thing is. Well, it might not be too flexible, but they are durable.

You should be able to purchase the PC 373D on the Sennheiser site for $249.95.

The Review of the LucidSound LS20

Lucid Sound LS20It’s time to review another great gaming headset, and this one is from Lucid Sound, and it is known as the LS20. What is interesting is how this one is created for practically every platform including the PlayStation, Xbox One, Mobile, and PC.

One of the best features of this particular LS20 Powered Gaming Headset is that the controls are on the earcups. On the Left ear, there is a volume control wheel and a button for audio mute. Then on the right ear, there is a microphone mute button. As I mentioned before, the LS20 is made for mobile, so there are controls for music and calls. Speaking of control, you can take control of it with a mobile phone.

So, how is the sound? It quite good, of course! You wouldn’t think it would be out if the sound sucked, do you? It has about 40 mm speakers with neodymium magnets, and it has a serious bass boost. It also has active and passive modes as well.

Other features include a rechargeable battery for up to 20 hours of charge, as well as being available in black and white. You should be able to purchase it on the Lucid Sound site for $99.99.

Pelican Marine for the iPhone 7

pelican-marine-waterproof-iphone-7-caseI have to admit that I believe now that Pelican is just as good as creating protector cases that might be even better than Otterbox. Pelican has proven itself over and over again with their recent iPhone 7 offerings with Voyager and the Protector. Now, they have the appropriately named Marine.

The Marine has the Pelican stamp of approval that has kept the business in the protection racket since 1976. This one really keeps the iPhone 7 safe from the four destructive elements of water, snow, dirt, and dust.

It has a five layer shell with serious impact absorbing materials, not to mention a scratch resistant coated screen protector. Yeah, that is a lot of terrific protection at IP68, and you can look that up if you want to know what it is capable of.

After trying this one out, I am very amazed at how thin it is, not adding to the initial volume of the iPhone 7 by much.

You should be able to purchase the Pelican Marine Case on the Pelican website for about $74.99 (marked down from $80.00) in colors of clear, clear with black, and clear with teal.

Speck Review of Three iPhone 7 Cases: Presidio SHOW, CLEAR + GLITTER, and GRIP

Speck 1I always love reviewing Speck products, and it has been a while since I have reviewed them. Fortunately, I had a chance to review three for the iPhone 7.

I’ll start with the Presidio SHOW, which is for the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 6/6S. I believe that it is called the SHOW because it is transparent, which means it shows just about everything on the back of the iPhone.

In addition to the transparent style, it also has this shock barrier on the side which is made of Impactium. That sounds like one of those sci-fi names, like unobtainium from Avatar. This is a good shock barrier to protect the iPhone, so isn’t that great?

Yeah, it is, and the Presidio SHOW can be purchased on the Speck website for $39.95.

Speck 2The next up is the Presidio CLEAR + GLITTER. It is very similar to the Jewel case from SKECH, but it doesn’t have the fakey rhinestones. This is very glittery, and it comes in one solid glittery shape and has some embedded glitter crystals.

Like the Presidio SHOW, it is also made of Impactium. I don’t know if that has officially become an element, but this is definitely a thing now.

You should be able to purchase the Presidio CLEAR + GLITTER on the Speck site for about $44.95 in Clear/Gold Glitter, Onyx/Gold Glitter, and Rose Pink with Gold Glitter/Rose Pink.

Speck 3So, let’s talk about the Presidio GRIP. Let’s just talk about why it is called the GRIP, and it has some divets in it for some extra grip.

In other words, you could have your hands slippery in oil, and you could probably use your iPhone. Or at least you can hold it, but using the touchscreen could be problematic.

Of course, it has Impactium, because apparently all Speck smartphones have that these days. You can get the Presidio Grip on the Speck site for about $39.95, and it comes in Black/Black, White/Ash Gray, Graphite gray/Charcoal Gray, Twilight Blue/Marine Blue, Lipstick Pink/Shocking Pink, and Whisper Purple/Lilac Purple.

The Jabra Elite Sport Wireless Earbuds Review

jabra elite sport 1And now it is time to review another fine Jabra product! This time, it is the Elite Sport, a pair of wireless earbuds. And this isn’t the type that have the wire connecting them together, but one of those ones that look like earplugs.

I have talked many times at length about how Bluetooth earbuds are entering a new age as they have one microphone each. I see no reason to go into detail about this concept again, but needless to say, these are probably going to be the new standard of Bluetooth earbuds by the end of the year. I’m certain that as the prices go down on these, everyone will have a pair. That, or have one, and you lost the other one.

Not only are these one of those wireless earbuds, but they are made for sports. This means that they are made to stay in your ear in spite of strenuous exercise and be immune to sweat. In fact, it comes with a 3-year warranty against it. If you are concerned about them staying in your ear, they have ear gel and ear wing sizes that will keep them in.

jabra elite sport 2The Jabra Elite Sport is set up for exercise, but it has an integrated fitness application known as Jabra Sports Life. It has an in-ear precision heart rate monitor and you can monitor your absolute fitness level. There are other features with the app that syncs to your earbuds and allows personalized coaching speaking to you through the earbuds, as well as monitoring reps, predicting racing time, and much more!

So let’s talk about sound. Oh yeah, it is completely great. At this point in time, Jabra is one of the Bluetooth masters of sound, and so there is no point in denying how great the sound is. You can opt to block out all sound of the world around you, or maybe you need to filter in some background noise to be better aware of your surroundings. The option to do both is there!

So, how is the battery life? Well, how is 9 hours for you? I have to say that is excellent, and there is even a portable charging case that will give you two additional charges.

If you want to get in on this, head over to the Jabra site and lay down about $249.99 for it.
