Hex Leather iPhone Case and Infinity Patrol Backpack Review

Hex is a company we’ve done reviews for in the past. They create attractive phone cases and backpacks made to carry laptops and other devices. This review will cover two Hex products. They are different in nature, but you could use one inside another, so… why not? We will review the HEX® black leather shield wallet for the iPhone XS Max, and then we’ll cover the Infinity Patrol backpack.

This case is something that will add a nice look to your phone. The black leather is premium, and covers a poly-carbonate case. There are three pockets in the back that are RFID protected- meaning you can put your credit cards in those pockets, and no one can steal the info on them. There is also the Hex brand label on the back.

The buttons and ports on your phone are not covered completely, but still have some protection. The case has the edges that wrap around with bezel edges, so you could place your phone face down without scratches. This case is available for other phones, and also in other colors in styles. $54.95 is the retail price for this particular one on the Hex website.

If you have other things to carry along with your phone, you could put them in this backpack:

HEX® Infinity Patrol Backpack

This stylish backpack looks like you’re ready to go on Safari. The exterior is a Tarpaulin material- which is a heavy duty, waterproof cloth. The camouflage zipper pulls are actually genuine leather.  With plenty of large, padded pockets- including the ones in front for tablets, you can carry laptops/MacBooks, phones and other items in style and protection.

The back is nicely padded and as with all Hex brand products, there is quality stitching.

Dimensions are:

19.5″L x 11.5″ W x 4.75″H and holds 17.5L.

There’s also nice organizational pockets inside.

This is a beautiful backpack, and will run at $119.95 on the Hex website.

Carry Your Laptop in Style with the Hex Supply Laptop Tote

It’s been a while since we’ve reviewed products from Hex, a company in California that combines fashion with technology. They create designer bags and cases to carry laptops, tablets, phones, and more. When I went to Hawaii five years ago, I took the Hex Cabana laptop tote with me. It has served me well ever since. Well, today, we have a new one to review. This one is the Hex Supply laptop tote.

Design of the Hex Supply laptop tote

The waxed canvas exterior actually comes in different styles and colors. They are the same price, but are named a little differently. You can find them all under the totes section on the Hex website. The color that we were sent is actually a lighter gray color with a pink lining. The accents are also waxed coated, and this provides a water resistant exterior. Genuine leather zipper pulls add to the classic look. It not only looks good, it is extremely durable with bar-tacked critical seams, and handles/straps that are surplus grade webbed.

HEX Stinson Relay Duffel and Icon Wallet for the iPhone 6

Hex Stinson Duffel BagI like a lot HEX products, and I was very pleased to review the Stinson Relay Duffel Bag. I have to admit that if I was into bags, I would definitely be into this one.

I’m pretty sure that you can use a gym bag or an overnight bag for at least a few days worth of clothes. There are two external pockets with one padded with a magnetic enclosure for an iPad, and then there is another for a phone, chargers, or accessories.

It is constructed with water resistant coating, along with genuine leather zipper pulls, heritage interior lining, and a whole lot more. You can find the Relay Duffel on the HEX site for about $109.95, and more than just in this pattern.

HEX Icon WalletI was also fortunate to receive some of their newest cases for the iPhone 6 with the Icon Wallet.

I might as well start by saying that I have reviewed products like the Icon Wallet before. Then again, I’m kind of getting tired of giving products introductions like that. Yes, this another one of those cases that can fold up like a book around the smartphone and hold three ID cards and even some cash in a side pocket.

The Icon Wallet case can close with an elastic band, and it is made of leather. It is a very good case, and fine one, too. You should be able to get it in Brown, Black Woven, Black, and Camo on the HEX site for about $49.99.

HEX iPhone 6 Plus Cases: The Focus, the Icon Wallet, and the Solo Wallet

HEX FocusI’ve reviewed HEX products in the past, and I feel fortunate to receive some of their newest cases for the iPhone 6, you can read that review right here. I had a chance to review three of their cases for the iPhone 6 Plus, and I will start with the Focus.

The Focus is made of leather, and it fits on the back of an iPhone 6. The leather of it is genuine premium, and the one I had was completely black, but there are variations with Camo Leather, Black Woven Leather, and Brown Leather.

You can get the Focus case for the iPhone 6 Plus on the HEX site for about $49.95.

Icon Wallet iPhone 6 PlusThe next one is the Icon Wallet, and I might as well start by saying that I have reviewed products like the Icon Wallet before, and I am not talking about the one for the iPhone 6. Yes, this another one of those cases that can fold up like a book around the smartphone and hold three ID cards and even some cash in a side pocket.

The Icon Wallet case can close with an elastic band, and it is made of leather. It is a very good case, and fine one, too. You should be able to get it in Brown, Black Woven, Black, and Camo on the HEX site for about $59.95.

HEX solo iPhone 6 PlusThe next one that I had a chance to review is the Solo Wallet. This particular one has the leather look, but instead of any stitched look, this one goes for a meshed look. At least, this is the form that I found. It is available in non-woven styles.

The Solo Wallet for the iPhone 6 Plus is not one of those folio cases, but it does have places in the back made for IDs, credit cards, or maybe even some extra cash. So it isn’t a folio case that folds over the smartphone, but it does snap on the back of the iPhone 6 like the Focus.

Like the Icon Wallet, the Solo is available in Black, Brown, Camo, and Black Woven leather. The price is about $49.95 on the HEX site.

Like the Icon Wallet, the Solo is available in Black, Brown, Camo, and Black Woven leather. The price is about $39.95 on the HEX site.

HEX focus_ip6_brown_backI’m not certain how to classify the last case, the Focus Case, in comparison to the others. It is made of leather, but it has no place for ID, credit cards, or extra cash.

Like the Solo Wallet, it fits on the back of an iPhone 6. The leather of it is genuine premium, and the one I had was saratoga brown with orange leather accents. It is designed for wear as well as distress with “unique aged patina”.

The Focus Case has Camo, Black Woven, Black, and Brown looks. You can get it on the HEX site for about $39.99. And there it is, all three cases from HEX, reviewed by yours truly.

Westmore Tablet Cross Body for tablets, by HEX

HEX WestmoreI have reviewed HEX products before, such as the Cabana Tote, and I recently had a chance to review the Westmore Cross Body for Tablets.

The Cross Body is definitely designed for tablet owners in mind. I have always complained that there were not enough accessories for mobile devices that were like bags and purses. This Cross Body is a form factor bag that allows you to zip up the tablet so it fits in well and is protected.

That alone would be worth the price, but it also has a pocket that works well for charging cables, earbuds, and even an iPhone. Yeah, this is good for iDevice owners, and you can put it on your shoulder like a purse. I wonder if men could wear this and still feel masculine. I don’t know.

If this particular product floats your boat, you can get it on the HEX site for about $39.99.
