Blipblox Toy Synthesizer Review

June 25, 2019 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

This generation has created a whole new type of superstar/celebrity with the DJ. I have to admit that I admire them with their ability to make music something truly awesome with often just “two tables and a microphone”. A company known as Playtime Engineering has created a very intelligent children’s toy with the Blipblox Toy Synthesizer.

I really had no idea what to expect from this device or toy, and when I opened it, I found that I had something that I wasn’t certain what to do with. I decided to bring my youngest child over to see what it was all about, and you can see from the image how it is just a bunch of levers, dials, and buttons.

In turning it on, I found that there was some music already downloaded on the Blipblox. I don’t know if I could call it music, but I found that by turning the dials, pushing the buttons, and pulling the levers, I could affect what the sound was.

The purpose of the Blipblox is so the user can turn the seemingly random sounds into something that sounds like you could go clubbing with. I said earlier that this is a toy, so I suppose that it is made for younger hands. The issue is that it is pretty addictive for older ones at that.

I mentioned that I gave it to my youngest son, and he made some interesting sounds. I have to admit that something like this could become very annoying to some parents. I have no idea if there is some kind of pattern that kids are supposed to follow to make kids play this odd game, but at least the Blipblox came with instructions as far as what each particular dial, lever, or button could do.

I would recommend the Blipblox for genius kids or for those who wish to be geniuses. I’m guessing that there is a way to make the Blipblox create really awesome music, but I have no idea how. I am guessing it is the Smash Bros effect, which I will explain. When my kids play Smash Bros on the Nintendo Switch, they get in these fights where all kinds of chaos ensues and I have no idea what is happening. However, to these young eyes, it makes sense.

If you are willing to spend the $189 price tag to see if the Blipblox is good for your kids, or even for you, you can find it here.
