World Tech Toys Big Heads Flying Figures Review

December 3, 2024 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

I have to admit, that I thought I had reviewed products from World Tech Toys before, but after doing a search, I didn’t…I guess. Still, these World Tech Toys produce some really good playthings, and these particular Big Heads, and that is the actual name, are some cool licensed characters with propellers on their heads that can fly around.

Yeah, I didn’t know what to expect when I was asked to review this, but man, these Big Heads (still called that) are quite something. I mean, I didn’t think that I needed one of these until I unboxed it and had it flying around me, but man, they really are quite something. Yeah, this is one of those articles that I write where you might want to skip to the video of the unboxing below, but I’m not certain how well I captured them on video, really.

I believe that what you’re seeing with the five figures that you see in the image are the ones that are available. You can see me test out Spider-Man in the test, but also available is Captain America from the Avengers, Leonardo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as both Optimus Prime and Bumblebee from the Transformers.

Each of these Big Heads are made to fly…literally. I had to charge them up using the attached USB cable, and it had some kind of connection to it that I had never really seen before. Once charged, this UFO (what they called the big head figure with a propeller on it) links with this disk-shaped thing. Push the button on the disk, and the propellor starts.

Then this UFO floats around, and it hovers around the general area. Occasionally, it will hit something, but not so hard enough to cause damage. I never was able to figure out how to control it with any degree of certainty, but I will say that the more times I did it, the less crashes it had, and I’ve no idea how the Big Heads know where to hover around.

What surprises me the most is how cheap these are, at about $9.97 exclusively at Wal-Mart and Wal-Mart online. This feels like a really cool Christmas present, though they might be too big to stuff in a stocking.

Facts About The Company

World Tech Toys came into the Radio Control market in 2004, with toy helicopters and cars. This is as the mobile age was just about to begin, and they created some very authentic flying vehicles for competitive prices, and continue to advance today with more innovations as well as their 100,000 square foot facility.

What Does This Company Make?

Like I said, they make these flying vehicles, like Heli Balls, as well as other figures with propellors on the top. There are also drones, not to mention these cool remote control cars that look very advanced.

Just the Specs, Man

If you’re the type that needs this info, this section is for you!

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the product on the World Tech Toys company website. I was hoping to find some specs there, but I couldn’t find them there on the Wal-Mart sites related to them.

If there is something on this that I didn’t cover, please let me know.

Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?

I have reviewed some remote control things before, like when I did the Sphero RVR Plus. But that is considerably more expensive. These World Tech Toys are pretty inexpensive, and I honestly doubt that you will find anything cheaper, really.
