Well, if you haven’t heard now, Obama has four more years. Some of you may be pleased, some of you may be outraged, and others of you might not care. However you feel, you might forget after you watch the awesome video above.

What you are seeing is currently “the world’s most advanced prosthetic limb”. This is the Bebionic3, and I am just going out on a limb (terrible pun, I know) and assume that this the Bebionic1 and Bebionic2 were inferior models. Heck, maybe the first version was a pair of tongs.

The YouTube video entitles this a “Terminator” arm and that really is fitting. Another science-fiction allusion could be Luke Skywalker’s artificial hand from the later Star Wars movies.

You can watch the video and see that the artificial arm is controlled by muscles in the real arm. You can see how many positions that this hand is capable of, and there are many with about 14 grips and such. I mean, he can even crack and egg.

Well, I suppose this is the beginning of a cybernetic era. Then again, I suppose that Neil Harbisson started this a while ago with his insistence on being a cyborg. I am hoping this didn’t cost six million dollars, like the TV show of the same name.
