I think this would truly show your age if you remember a game known as Paperboy. There may be a lot of readers who don’t know what it is, but it was a mid-eighties stand-up arcade game where you played a paperboy. The game had a bicycle handlebars as a controller, and your character dodged obstacles like cars backing up and more. Who knew that the life of a paperboy was so dangerous?
Seriously, the game was so hard that I only ever fed it a few quarters in my younger days. When I first played, I thought the only goal was to dodge the obstacles, but I found out later that high scores can be obtained with flinging papers.
These guys at Globacore have created a game called Paperdude, which recreates the old video game with a Kinect and an Oculus Rift. If you aren’t familiar with the Oculus Rift, you should see how it affects the game Mirror’s Edge.
There is nothing left for you to do than to watch the video, assuming that you haven’t already.
