Here is the thing: a building at 20 Fenchurch Street in London is creating hot temperatures around it. This building, also known as the “Walkie-Talkie Tower” due its odd shape, has a curvaceous exterior that works like a magnifying glass. Apparently, the owner of a Jaguar XJ has had all the plastic in his car melt beyond all repair.

Yes, this is a solar death ray, and I have heard that you can burn objects with a concave mirror. I am really surprised that the building’s engineers didn’t see this one coming. I guess the lesson to be learned is: don’t build a building that looks like this. We’ll see what will happen to this building as a result of this.
