You know how the iPhone has been avoiding Flash all those years? This includes a decent one for the camera. I suppose that you could purchase a Manfrotto KLYP that we discussed a few weeks ago, or the iblazr.
The iblazr is a simple flash with four specially-made LEDs. From what I can tell, it plugs right into the headphone jack. You will want to use the App to get the right amount for the shot, which means that there will be just the right amount of light that you need.
I know that I said that this iblazr was for smartphones, and yes, it was indeed made for that. However, if you have a DSLR camera, you can use this as a flash as well. It can also be used as any kind of light, provided it is charged.
Like my last article, this is a Kickstarter project. It sounds like its made its goals, and will be available for $39 in December, with an extra $8 for a cold shoe mount.
