I have been doing a lot of reports about heads-up displays lately, and I’m very certain I did three articles on one day that was related with them. I guess with the dawn of Google Glass, we are going to just love heads-up displays like we love touchscreens.
This particular application known as the HUDWAY is right up my alley. Unlike that Google Glass or other HUDs, no special equipment is required. All you need to do is place your iPhone on your dashboard, and it somehow makes a reflection on the window to display the current speed, the distance to the next turn, and even a warning of when you should slow down.
So this is made for bad weather, but I have no idea how this will work on a sunny day. I like how it works, and I look forward to seeing what other kinds of apps are out there. The HUDWAY is currently available on iOS for nothing, but is coming to Android in February 2014.
