It is always good to see Lowe’s up to something, and they were up to a lot of things at CES this year. If you are not aware, the company has a smart home solution known as Iris.
Iris debuted in 2012, and it allows its users to customize their home and adjust their thermostat, security system, and other things. It also allows for managing their home by seeing total energy consumption, as well as water consumption.
What I really like is how the Iris now features a water shut-off if a leak is detected. As someone who owns their home and rented it out once, I could easily have used this feature. All of this can be managed from a smartphone, tablet, or PC/Mac.
If you are interested in it, check it out at here. You might want to get on this while you are there as well.
