The SkyBell is a product that is very similar to the Swann Doorphone Video Intercom that I review a few weeks ago. The Doorphone Video Intercom had a camera that was activated by the push of a doorbell button, and it was wirelessly connected to a monitor.

The difference the SkyBell is a video doorbell that connects to your smartphone via Wi-Fi. The doorbell unit has a video camera with motion sensor, microphone, and speaker. In short, you have the ability to communicate with whoever is at the door, no matter where you are.

That’s right, the SkyBell comes with an app, and it informs the smartphone or tablet user (iOS or Android) with an alert. From there, you get a live video feed thanks to the user’s home Wi-Fi.
