This is a very interesting news development from London, which I have heard is one of the most surveillanced places in all the world. This was a town that put up a poster about its cameras that was just Orwellian.

London Metropolitan Police have been received an upgrade as Taser has supplied them with 500 Axon body suits equipped with cameras. Believe it or not, most of these cameras will be switched off, but they will be turned off unless there is a case of domestic violence or other cases where quick justice is required. I have to admit, this certain sounds tempting to use.

Personally, I can easily see a time where these eyes will be always on. I would imagine that one day these eyes will always be on, and there will be people monitoring them behind screens.

Okay, does anyone have a problem with this? I can see that there will be some people that will not want anything to do with Big Brother cops. Yeah, this is a time of surveillance and privacy is just dyin’.

We’ll see if more cops will have cameras in the future. I sort of hope not.
