I realize that I spent a lot of time yesterday talking about Google I/O’s cardboard, but I really should have been talking about Android TV. Apparently, I must have missed reporting on that, but if you can make developing apps for smart televisions, you should do it. Now, Android TV allows users to mirror apps on their big screen as well as their tablet or smartphone. I suppose the only logical step is to make some kind of controller for that, and here it is.
After all, many users will probably be playing games on their TVs and mirrored screen, so why not have a controller that looks just like something that Xbox or PS3 has? Note where the home and back keys are. I’m guessing that there are dual controls, and it reminds me of that supposed Amazon controller that turned out to be part of Amazon Fire TV.
Clearly, this controller is designed to compete with all of these Android powered TV micro-console. I have even heard that Razer is doing something like this. I tell you, it’s crazy.
