EmoSPARK brings A.I. to the home

October 17, 2014 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

EmoSparkIt is pretty clear that we are the age of Siri and GoogleTalk, but I haven’t got into the habit of chatting it up with my smartphone as yet. In fact, there is this new ad where Siri is talking about how it will miss its user, who is ready to upgrade their iPhone. I just can’t stand it.

For those that want to get that Artificial Intelligence in your house and off your phone should try out the EmoSPARK. This 90 centimeter cube is a connected via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and is the “first artificial intelligence console”. It apparently can learn the emotions and language of people, and then contributes to the emotional well-being of the family.

I have no idea how this works. So will it sense that I am feeling sad, and then suggest some kind of pick-me-up? Seriously, I think this is what the EmoSPARK does, suggesting entertainment and web content choices. So if the EmoSPARK sees that I am in a mood, will it suggest a good cat video to make me feel better?

The EmoSPARK is an Indiegogo project, which means it will take your cash to make it an actual reality. I wonder if this will catch on?
