I have reviewed a lot of mobile batteries in the past, the most recent one is from Thinium. This Kickstarter project known as AMPY is a mobile battery I think we all need.
You know how every mobile battery that I reviewed involves hooking it up to a computer or AC outlet to charge? Well, if you didn’t, now you do. The AMPY is different is that you don’t have to hook it up in order to give you power. As much as I hate using this expression: “The Power is Yours”.
Okay, enough quoting Captain fricking Planet. The AMPY is powered by kinetic energy, which means you have to be moving. If you have this battery, all you need to do is carry it with you while you walk, run, or cycle.
I’m guessing that the same tech in fitness bands is in the AMPY, because there is an app which can allow you to see energy generated, calories burned, and how much energy is currently stored in the battery. If you want to use the 1000mAh battery weeks later, you can.
So far, you can pick this up on Kickstarter for about $85.
