Kingston was nice enough to send me one of their MobileLite Wireless G2 units, and I remembered that I was part of beta-testing their MobileLite Wireless units before. For those of you who aren’t aware of this product, it is a good way to free up some space on your tablet and share as well.

So here is what this box is. You can charge it with a USB/micro USB cable, and then you can insert an SD card and/or put a USB stick on it. After it is charged, you can download an application on your phone or tablet, and then sync the Mobilelite network with your device. From here, you will be able to access anything on that SD card or USB stick wirelessly on your device.

I had a chance to try it out, and it is a pretty easy set up. In fact, it is so easy, that there were no instructions included. Fortunately, I downloaded the app, and it told me to connect my smartphone to Mobile Lite Wireless. I actually couldn’t find MobileLite Wireless to connect to, but I found a network with a prefix of MLW, and that worked. In a few seconds, I could access all of those files on the connected USB stick and/or SD card, and could send content with Facebook, Tweet about it, email it, copy it, and delete it.

In short, I have a lot of power with this little box. Not only that, it can be used as a charger, and that isn’t bad at all. Also, it has an Ethernet port for broadband Internet on the road.

All in all, it is pretty sweet, and I would recommend it if you need something like this. I found it on Amazon for about $47, and you might be able to find it cheaper elsewhere, and more information about it here.
