Turtle Beach Power, party dudes! If you have been following us, then you know that we like to review this company, as they put out some pretty great stuff for gamers. It is so good, that perhaps we’ll do a joint review with our sister site, TheGamingChurch.com. Maybe.
With that, let’s get right to the products! You can see that we have three sent to us with the Stealth 600 Gen 2 Headset, Recon 70 Headset, and Ear Force HS2 Headset Stand.
Stealth 600 Gen 2 Headset Review
I’ll start with the Stealth 600 Gen 2 Wireless Amplfied Gaming Headset. I am going to give it points from the get-go as I am told it is the Number One Wireless Gaming Headset. I certainly does look great, and I will get into more detail on that. However, let me tell you that the PlayStation version of this bad boy, or should I say good boy, is going to be PS5 (that’s right) compatible.
So in putting them on my ears, I found that the Stealth 600 are pretty comfortable and can shut off some serious noise. What is great is how you can flip down the mic for talking while gaming, and then just flip it up for mute. You will note how it fits well into the headset itself.
Now, the Stealth 600 has a USB dongle for the wireless connection, and the controls are very easy to access as they are built into the headset. The plug-in is a USB-C charging cable (included) will give the Stealth 600 about 15 hours worth of power.
By the way, I am told that the Stealth 600 Gen 2 Headset also supports the Nintendo Switch, with this particular caveat: “Nintendo Switch wireless compatibility supported through USB connection while in docked mode only. Chat available for games that support in-game chat capability”.
You should be able to purchase the Stealth 600 Gen 2 for $99.95 on the Turtle Beach website.
Recon 70 Headset Review
Well, after reviewing the Stealth 600, I am going to review a model that is a little more affordable, but I will get to that price later. It is going to be difficult without doing some comparing between the two models, but I will have to say that it is lightweight and has some good ear cushions.
The Recon 70 also has that flip mic, and it will mute when it is flipped up. It doesn’t match the set-up of the frame, though. So yes, it might not be the same as the Stealth 600 because it is wired with a 3.5 mm jack. The speakers are 40mm high quality, so it very, very good.
Now the Recon 70 is good for the big three video game companies, and I’m told it will eventually be compatible with the new XBox and PS5. So yes, the Recon 70 is also good too, and I’ll finally get to the price, it is $39.95 on the Turtle Beach website.
Ear Force HS2 Headset Stand Review
Well, I don’t know what to say about the EarForce HS2, but it is a Sleek and Sturdy Headset Storage. I mean, it an hold your Ear Force Recon 70 and the Stealth 600, right?
Yeah, it can. I’m honestly what I can say about a rack that holds a pair of headphones. I could say “nice rack”, but that has another connotation. Maybe I’ll hang my hat on this, or something.
You can get the EarForce HS2 on the Turtle Beach website for $29.95.
