All right, if you have followed me for a while, then you know at the beginning of January, I go to CES. What is CES? The Consumer Electronics Show that is held annually in Las Vegas, and we will be there.
The last time I attended CES was in 2020. Yes, the was the year of COVID-19, but at that time in January of that year, it was “China’s crisis”. Eventually, CES 2021 was a virtual conference. Then, in early 2022, I got COVID-19 and could not attend. I am assuming that CES 2021 was fully of masks and rather limited.
As I look back over the past three years, I can see how much this website has changed. We really are only into consumer electronics reviews, and built up our YouTube channel there. Then we also started our Tik Tok channel.
We’re still trying to figure out what TheGeekChurch is, and I recently started a Patreon account that I’m hoping to build up.
We plan on doing livestreams on certain events at the time, and we’re hoping we can do long YouTube videos as well. We actually just did one, but no sound came out. However, the takeaway of it isn’t the sound, but rather the times.
There are some definite times you can look out for, and they are all Pacific Standard Time. Any livestreaming will be done on TikTok on @thegeekchurch.
January 3rd:
4:00 PM: Tech Trends to Watch. I’m not certain what will be at this, and I’m not certain if the sound will be good, but I intend to film this event.
5:00-8:30 PM: CES Unveiled. This is a big before-show party that I fully plan on attending, located at Mandalay Bay. There will be a lot of companies with their wares on display, and I want to livestream my interactions with them.
January 4th:
8:00 AM-on: There are going to be a lot of Press Conferences that I would like to attend, and I will announce them on the day. I’ll be livestreaming on and off that day on Tik Tok, and post conferences when I can on that day on YouTube.
7:00-10:30 PM: Pepcom. This is another big party at Ceasar’s Palace, and we’ll want to livestream that for sure, with an after-posting on YouTube.
January 5th:
10:00 AM: Conference officially begins, and we’ll want to livestream when the doors open at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC).
12:00 PM-onward: Assuming that livestreaming is working well for us, we will explore the Las Vegas Convention to see what we can see.
6:00 PM: Showstoppers. We’ll livestream this big event from the Bellagio Hotel.
The next few days are going to be very impromptu.
January 6th:
By this time, most of the hype from CES has died down, but we’ll do some exploring of the Venetian part of CES, and possibly the ARIA, Vbara, and other parts of CES known as “Tech South”. We might also visit some suites if time permits.
January 7th
We’ll head back to the Convention Center to see what we didn’t have time to see the first time on January 5th.
January 8th
On the last day of the conference, I’ll visit any areas that I haven’t fully explored before.
