Our Review of the BenQ Laptop Bar

February 7, 2024 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

All right, I have no idea how to pronounce this company’s name. Is it “Benk” or “Ben-cue”, but I really found that they make some pretty great products. I discovered the Laptop Bar at CES 2024, and I think I actually first discovered them at my first CES that I attended in 2008.

Yeah, I should probably get to the product before I start talking about the company, because that is my usual pattern. In case you are wondering what the Laptop Bar is for, it is a light made for the top of the laptops, right?

I mean, you never know when you need a light there, because it actually does improve the quality. Best of all, turning it on and off is very simple as you just wave your hand over the sensor.

Best of all, it comes with a stick on metal disk, and then you just magnetically mount the Laptop Bar where you want it. You can bend the Laptop Bar around, and it mounts in a very versatile fashion.

In the video, I have the included USB-C to USB-C to charge it while it is on the laptop. I think part of it was because I thought there was a webcam on this thing (it was a sensor). There is some power to this thing, as the Laptop Bar can hold 160 hours of light power. There is even an indicator with 4 lights on it.

Facts About The Company

The BenQ Corporation is a “world-leading human technology and solutions provider driven by the corporate vision of ‘bringing enjoyment N’ Quality to life'”. Basically, they really give a lot to make great consumer products.

What Does This Company Make?

I checked on the BenQ website, and they make projectors and displays. There really is a lot, and we’re hoping that we’ll get some more products to review.

Just the Specs, Man

If you’re the type that needs this info, this section is for you!

I don’t really have much specs, as the website did not cover.

If there is something on this that I didn’t cover, please let me know.

What Do the Reviews Say?

I didn’t really see anything on Amazon on the company website, but I’m rating it highly.

Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?

I couldn’t find any product like this that I’ve ever reviewed. When I looked for this product on Amazon, I found a lot of these laptop bar/lights. I didn’t realize what a thriving business this is.
