Our Review of the Plaud AI Plaud Note

July 13, 2025 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

I have to admit that I wasn’t expecting something like the Plaud Note, but I’m just going to be saying that I am probably going to see a lot more like it. Basically, it is this thing you put on your phone, and then sync your phone to it. From there, you can use this thing to record the sound around you, or just you, if you wish.

It even comes with this little pouch that can fit on the back. It reminds me of those Wallets that are designed to magnetically lock onto the back of MagSafe iPhones or Android Qi2 phones. Granted, I had a very hard time taking out the Plaud Note from that pouch, but something tells me that with enough insertions and re-insertions, it should be good.

Anyway, you can charge this thing with this included charging cable, and from there, you can start using it. After you sync it with the app, of course.

What you have to do is hold down this button, and then a light on the Plaud Note will glow, indicating that it is recording. From there, you can check your recording, and it will transcribe it for you. It can also record over the phone as well, or in a crowded room. Maybe like a press conference or a lecture.

You can also take it to the next step, which is to use the AI programming to make certain it summarizes and take the important information and do it’s typical AI thing. Honestly, I really couldn’t find a time and place to really test this out, but I’ll talk about the AI functionality.

Apparently, this has some GPT-4.1, 03-mini, Claude Sonnet 4, Gemini 2.5 Pro, and much more. I really don’t know what that means, but it has multiple professional templates and 112 transcription languages.

I’m told that it has 30 hours of continuous recording and 60 days of standby, with 64 GB storage alone. I’m not certain where that is stored, because I’ve heard that there is also unlimited cloud storage.

I’ll go ahead and give you the price, as it is $159.00 on the Plaud AI site, but if you want to get yourself the service, it is about $239.00 a year.

Facts About The Company

It would appear that this company of Plaud.ai is super into this whole AI thing, and this is how they started and the hill they apparently want to die on. Now, they have like one million customers, and they want to use AI to help change peoples’ lives. Why not.

What Does This Company Make?

I definitely mentioned the Plaud Note, but they also make a smaller version of the Note Pin.
