Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)
I had a chance to review three different products from a company called Zircon, which is a company that I have not heard of before. However, these products are very super-useful around the house, particularly for fixer-upper type projects.
Our Review of the Zircon Leak Alert
The Zircon Leak Alert is exactly waht it says: something that will send alerts if it detects a leak. All you need to do is connect it with WiFi, there this is self-contained battery unit that will give a loud shout if there is any small drop.
This alarm is 105 dB, and that will sound for 8 hours. You can see in the video below how I couldn’t seem to get that alarm to shut off, unless I took out the battery. I guess I should just let it dry out.
It is perfect to be made near water heaters, under sinks, in basements, dishwashers, anywhere that water can leak. I have no idea how much water it can take, but if you want it, head on to the Zircon site and pay $72.89 for it.
Our Review of the Zircon MultiScanner i520 OneStep
As you can…read, this is a multiscanner. So, what does this mean? For starters, it has a stud edge finding for locations of wood or metal studs, and it can even find the center.
I believe that I demonstrated that on the video, but I don’t think I demonstrated the Deep Scan Mode, and I’m also told that there is a metal scanner built in this guy as well. Oh yes, I forgot to say that there is a AC Scan and WireWarning detction.
Yes, that is a lot on one device, and it is all there in a backlit LCD display. If you want this, I couldn’t find it on the Zircon site to buy, but I found it on Amazon for about $113.91.
Our Review of the Zircon StudScanner HD70 OneStep
The HD70 has a lot of the features of the MultiScanner that I just did a report on. I meant, it has the stud edge and stud center finding, along with that DeepScan mode. It also has the WireWarning display, all on a backlit LCD display.
It also has Auto Correcting Technology, and a low battery indicator. There is also a Spotlite Beam to shine a beam of light to visualize stud location. I don’t think that those were features on the MultiScanner i520.
I found this on the Zircon site, but I didn’t see a price. I did find it on the Home Depot site for about $36.97.
Facts About The Company
This company is located in California, in business since 1980.
What Does This Company Make?
I’ve heard that the Zircon corporation is very good at StudSensors, and it is very “revolutionary”. I’m taking that from the corporate website.
Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!
Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?
I’m trying to think of the last time that I reviewed a studsensor, and the last time I used a stud sensor was to hang a TV. So I have never really reviewed one.
