I have reviewed a lot of headphones, and although I haven’t reviewed these, this is interesting to see what Sony has unveiled with the X Headphones. Just so you know, it is called X because it is related to the Simon Cowell show the X-Factor.

As you can see, these headphones are pretty huge. They have 50 mm diaphragms for powerful bass, and there is some serious isolation effect going on with the headphones. I am guessing you could put these on and forget the world, but there is no noise cancellation.

I have seen these types of headphones before, and I like having this type of sound on my ears, but these tend to be very constricting. Sometimes my ears begin to hurt or feel constricting. Sony says that their X Headphones are “pressure relieving”.

I will have to try them out to believe that. By the way, these headphones fold up into a nice little case. The only thing that scares me is the pricetag, which is about $300.
