If you haven’t heard of Goal Zero before, then please do not assume that they are an organization that wants to achieve nothing. On the contrary, Goal Zero is the largest manufacturer of portable solar products, and they want to again rock our world with a new product, the Yeti 150.
The Yeti 150 is a 12 pound plug-and-play generator made for emergencies, or camping. It has a 150 watt hour battery made for powering lights, laptops, or anything with 12 Volt, AC, or USB ports. Best of all, the Yeti 150 is powered by the sun, and it takes about 15 hours to get a complete charge.
This Yeti 150 looks like something that I would want to have around in case the power failed me, or similar scenario. I don’t seem to have price point, and I don’t know how long it would actually keep electric gadgets charged in case of an actual emergency.
Keep your eye on Goal Zero, as they have a lot of good things about them. For example, their matching program raised $600,000 for victims of hurricane Sandy. You can find out more information on them on www.goalzero.com.
