I think we all know from various speculative fiction films like Minority Report and others of it type is that sooner or later, all displays will be transparent. I don’t really see a need for a transparent display, because there is simply no need to create a display that will be backwards like a mirror image on one side. Don’t we want our displays to give us privacy when we are surfing the net at a coffee house?
Apparently, Polytron technologies is actually working on a transparent phone. You can see that the batteries, SD card, SIM card, and other features are going to to be opaque, and this really shouldn’t be any surprise. You can see the video provided by Mobile Geeks, and it doesn’t look like there will be any transparent battery or SD card tech in the near future.
Not to be a spoiler of this video, but the transparent screen doesn’t seem to display anything but binary numbers of 0 and 1. This gives me a lot of doubt as to how far along this company is in creating this tech.
They will apparently have prototypes by the end of the year, but I believe that Tony Stark had one in that Avengers movie last summer.
This leads me to wonder how long before Apple unveils this year’s model of the iPhone, and it is just a bar of glass. I’m thinking maybe…iPhone 10? Anyone want to take bets on this one? How much will I get if I am right?
