I have seen a lot of USB keys that have all your passwords loaded into them. Generally, this is just to save you a few seconds so you don’t need to constantly type in that user name and password.
The myIDkey is like that, as you stick it into your USB drive and don’t have to worry about the tedious nature of logging in all the time. Now, in case you worry about someone stealing your myIDkey and logging into your secure accounts, that won’t happen.
You see, the myIDkey takes security a step further as the user needs to properly identify him or herself with either a tap sequence, vocal ID, or a fingerprint scanner. You can even speak a search for your bank, and the info will appear on the myIDkey’s OLED display.
The myIDkey can also work with a smartphone app and back up online data. So if the myIDkey gets stolen, it will essentially self-destruct and wipe itself clean. Fortunately, you can restore the data or load it onto a new myIDkey.
This is where I usually tell how to get it, and the price. This is still a Kickstarter project for now, so it can be yours and out in the mainstream market for the right donation.
