Some of you might remember when I covered Speck’s MagFolio Luxe for the iPad, and I thought I would take some time to focus on other products from Speck, specifically from Samsung.
I’ll go ahead and start with the CandyShell for the Samsung Galaxy S III, which is my current favorite phone. It it advertised as a dual-layer, one-piece design. At first I wondered what this meant, but now I see it has a hard shell and soft inner layer. This allows for full protection of the phone’s back, while keeping it snugly yet softly in the case.
I found that the CandyShell allows the Samsung Galaxy S III to easily slip in the pocket, and you can access all ports and controls, of course. By the way, I have tried, and you can fit in the Galaxy S III backwards to protect the touchscreen.
You can get the CandyShell for the Galaxy S III on the Speck site for about $34.95, in various colors like Black/Dark Gray, white/Raspberry, Pebble/Bayou, Malachite/Graphite, Soot/Black, White/Graphite, StarStruck Blue/Red, and FallFoliage Red/Orange.
Now let’s talk about the FitFolio for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. The FitFolio reminds me a lot of the previously mentioned MagFolio Luxe, but it isn’t made of leather. It does have, what is described on the site as “a vegan leatherette book-style cover”. It also doesn’t have a magnetic seal, but the smooth-snap clasp is just as good.
I like how the FitFolio really makes the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 slim and protected. I recommend it if you live a lifestyle that is on the go, and you want to keep your tablet protected.
You can get the FitFolio for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 on the Speck site for about $39.95 in Black or Raspberry.
