The Jak MultiShare USB from bCoda

April 1, 2013 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

jak1-220-100It was easy to classify bCoda’s Coda One as a Bluetooth Speaker, but I’m not certain how to classify a product like bCoda’s Jak. I suppose that the best description would be the MultiShare USB, but I don’t know if that will let you know what it is.

The Jak is made to fit in a USB Jack of a TV, Car Stereo, Home Stereo, or computer, and then allows you to stream music, photos, and video to that particular device that it is plugged into. I am not certain if the streaming source has to be Android, but this is what I used. I was able to get the application on the Google Play store easily, and the set-up was just as easy.

I tested it out using my Samsung Galaxy S III with my laptop, and I found that my computer recognized my smartphone’s playlists right away. I could even access programs from my smartphone from my computer. It reminds me of the Wi-Drive+ MobileLite from Kingston, but in reverse.

I am told that it works just as well with other devices, but I didn’t get a chance to try it out. I also heard that the Jak can work with 20 other devices.

If you want to You should be able to get it for about $69.99.
