Of course, we love to review Catalyst products, as they make some terrific accessories made to protect our mobile products from not only everyday use, but stuff that comes up that is out of ordinary as well. Today, I’ll be tackling three of their newest that were sent to me, including: the Total Protection Case for the iPhone 13, the Active Defense Case for Apple Watch Series 7, and the Waterproof Influence Case for the AirPods (3rd Gen).
Our Review of the Total Protection Case for the iPhone 13
Catalyst sure made a name for themselves when they created cases that can protect against the elements, and their newest Total Protection case is most certainly worthy of its company name. This one is fully sealed as it is submersible, so you got to love that.
In fact, I am told that it is five hundred percent more waterproof than its leading competitor. Which means you can submerge your iPhone underwater for about 33 feet. You can also wash the case itself with soap and water, giving you total protection, from germs.
By the way, the Catalyst Total Protection case is good for 1.65 times higher drop protection, being good for 6.6 feet of falling damage. There is also this other feature that I am not familiar with at all, and this is an instant mute switch, which works with just one twist and click. I don’t know if this feature is on other Catalyst Total Protection case, not to mention this feature of using the MagSafe and Qi wireless charging capability.
If you want to get this, it is available for order for $89.99 on the Catalyst website for all models of the iPhone 13 in Stealth Black and Marine Blue.
Our Review of the Active Defense Case for the Apple Watch Series 7
Since we have discussed the Apple iPhone, we should now discuss the Apple Watch, which is just as worthy of protection from the elements, not to mention dropping with the Active Defense Case for the Apple Watch Series 7.
The Active Defense Case for the Apple Watch Series 7 gives 2.5 times higher drop protection in comparison to military standards. It is good for 10 feet of drop protection, actually.
You can see how the strap has this kind of mesh look, so it is full of holes. Speaking of things that are full of holes, I have hear that this has more than two hundreds breathable vents, as it is apparently made for sports. By the way, I am also told that there is some kind of aqua draining system, in case you get caught in the water.
All that, and it is scratch resistant, with a precision fit. It can also do wireless charging. It is available on the Catalyst website for a price of $49.99.
Our Review of the Waterproof Influence Case for the AirPods (3rd Gen)
With the great success of the third generation of Apple’s prime earbud, the AirPods, it is no wonder why Catalyst made some kind of protection for them. Especially as it has that wireless charging capability, it is good that Catalyst has made their Waterproof Influence case good for wireless charging.
I am told that the insulation of the case can facilitate up to 40-minute faster charge time. Oh, if you want to use the standard lightning cable, there is a waterproof plug for that.
Yes, the Influence case is good to be waterproof, for about 3.3 feet. The Influence is also good for 4 feet of drop protection, so you can “listen more, worry less”. Yes, I did take that last quote right off of the box.
The Catalyst Influence Case for AirPods is available on the Catalyst website for $29.99 in Space Gray and Marine Blue.
