JLAB 4-Part Review: Epic Keyboard, Mouse, and Camera, with a Play Pro Wireless Gaming Headset

February 24, 2024 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

Well, it has been a while since we have reviewed a JLab product, and there is a lot to talk about with this particular review, as I have four things that I need to review.

Our Review of the JLAB Epic Wireless Keyboard

So, this is a great product from JLAB, and I might as well talk about how wireless it is first. All you need to do is just plug in the dongle and turn the keyboard on. It really is just that simple.

As far as the Bluetooth is concerned, you can hook it up to two devices, and then switch them out at the touch of a button. Speaking of buttons, there is a JLAB work app to program specific hotkeys to save up to three user profiles.

Oh, and I got to say that I really like the design here with 108 keys including a numeric keypad, and I like that there is a knob for turning up media volume. Oh, by the way, you don’t need any batteries with this, but it can be USB-C charged.

Our Review of the JLAB Epic USB Webcam

So, if I am going to review a webcam, I might as well show the footage, and you can see them on the video. I have to admit that I wasn’t impressed, at first, because I thought the lighting could be better. It wasn’t until the end where I was playing with the buttons, and then noticed the lighting got better.

There is also this auto focus that I had a fun time playing with. The specs say it is 2k or 1080p/30 fps camera with 5 megapixels for HD video, which is good for visual resolution, but let’s talk about the two omni-directional microphones.

Oh, and I like the adjustable clip and I like the removable gray or white faceplates. I should also mention that it worked by just plugging it in easily.

Our Review of the JLAB Epic Wireless Mouse

Like the Epic Keyboard, the Epic Wireless Mouse uses a dongle to sync with it, which I like quite a bit. I plugged it in and it worked so very easily.

I should also mention how Ergonomic it is. You don’t need a battery for it, because you can just charge it via USB-C with a 4 month battery life. There are silent clicks with 9 buttons, and you can save your custom button functions of up to three user profiles.

Oh, and then there is this OLED display on it, and I am not kidding! Seriously, how many other mice do you know that have something like this, ad it will give you the battery life indictor itself.

Our Review of the JLAB PLAY PRO Gaming Wireless Over-Ear Headset

Okay, I had a very great time as I reviewed these particular headphones, and I tried it out on my Nintendo Switch. It was easy to pair, and it could have been done with another Bluetooth device as well.

If you are wondering, you can use the Play Pro Gaming for about 60 plus hours. I haven’t even talked about the the extendable boom mic, which is pretty genius design.

There is also a cool mute button, but I haven’t even talked about how good the sound is. Oh, I should also talk about how comfortable they are, as they do fit well around the ears.

Facts About The Company

The JLAB lab is based out of San Diego, and they have a mission to create some really quality products for an affordable price. Their team is made of designers, product engineers, and a lot of enthusiasts.

What Does This Company Make?

I am seeing headphones and earbuds as their primary devices. But the webcam and the mouse are showing that the company wants to get involved in more products, so I would keep an eye on this company.

What Do the Reviews Say?

I checked out the JLAB website, and they have the reviews there, even from Amazon. The Epic Wireless Keyboard has 90 4-star Amazon ratings, with a 4.4 star average on the site. The Epic USB Webcam has 25 Amazon ratings at 4.5, and 4.8 on the JLAB site. The Epic Wireless Mouse has 154 Amazon ratings with 4.5 stars, and then there is the 4.4 stars from the JLAB site. Then there is the 3.9 stars on JLAB.

Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?

I’m going to have to say that there are a lot of keyboards, mice, webcams, and gaming headphones that you can purchase. I have to admit, this is one of the more cheaper ones.
