I have reviewed cases from Lifeproof before, such as the nuud for the iPad and the fre for the iPhone. I have recently been given the fre for the iPad Mini. considering the size, I suppose that this is a combination of the nuud and the fre, so shouldn’t it be call the nue, or the fruud?
I felt that this image would be the best, as it shows the snow proof feature. You should know that it has the other big three features that I usually talk about when I discuss protective cases like this. So, it is waterproof, but I don’t have a depth or time limit. Usually it is 6.6 feet for 1 hour, and that is what the fre for the iPad Mini is good for.
Oh, it also protects against dirt and shock. Considering how thin this fre iPad Mini is, that is pretty good. I am not certain how much punch it can take, but I am sure that it can take quite a bit. The official specs are 4 feet drops. I suppose most take 6 feet drops, but what can I say?
What is interesting about the fre is how it it transparent on both sides. I don’t know how in the world that is, but it is very cool.
If you want to get in on this, head over to the Lifeproof site and lay down $99.99 for it.
