I have said time and time again that I hate using a touchscreen keyboard on a smartphone. I used to have a phone with a QWERTY keyboard, but that is so a few years ago.
The Plumage has a solution to this that is unusual. It is essentially a separate keyboard that acts as a cover for the touchscreen. If you fold it down, you can use a QWERTY keyboard that you can click on if you don’t like the touchscreen keyboard, which I don’t.
Granted, it does take up half of the screen, but hey, are you using that half when you text? Okay, you had better not be using anything that the Keypad covers.
This is a battery-powered, concept product. I’m not certain that it will work well in principle. We’ll see what the future holds for Plumage.
