Well, I guess we all know what new smartphone was announced yesterday. Heck, it was an announcement so big, there were two of them! I figured that there is nothing I can report on that isn’t related to that, so I am glad to have this Kona from Kyocera to help me out.
This Sprint gem is a “dumb phone”, but some people still use these clamshell wonders. I had one to review, and I felt a twinge of nostalgia just holding it in my hand.
Yeah, if you are looking for the most advanced phone, this isn’t it. Then again, is the iPhone 5C or 5S really the best? Oooo, take that Apple!
Anyway, if you need a phone, and you are visually impaired or hearing impaired, this Kona is probably your phone. The buttons are very big, and accessible browsing that describes it to a user. There is also variable-speed speech read-out for menus, text messaging, and the like. Also, it has TTY/TDD support for the hearing impaired. Seriously, these are the features, so I can tell its target audience.
So, the other features include a 2 Megapixel camera, and other things that most phones come with. If you are looking for a phone and don’t like the whole smartphone revolution thing, then you want to check out the Kona. You can find more information about it here.
