Even though that CES officially does not begin until tomorrow, Monday is sort of a Media Day here, and the 8 to 5 day is spent with press conferences at Mandalay Bay. One of them was Hisense, who I just talked about with that Hisense 32H4030F Roku TV review.
Hisense began their press conference by reminding us that they have been in the business for 50 years, and they acquired some brands like Toshiba. You can see that they are growing in leaps and bounds.
One great things brought up is the Laser TV. They really went out of their way to say how it is better it is on the eyes. They also talk about how the screen itself can project sound as well.
Another one of the big things that was brought up is the idea of a Connected Life, which is a way of connecting all our devices together. I am not really certain how this will work, but it showed refrigerators that can automatically fill with food. Yeah, I think the idea is with more connected devices.
There was a spot when they talked about what the consumer wants, and that is bigger screens and more streaming. What Hisense seems to be doing is meeting this consumer expectation, and 2020 looks to be quite a big year for them, and by extension, us.
