Some of you might remember when I reported Casio’s little Digital Signage project, and how it could revolutionize the service industry. That particular tech used projected images on glass, and this Asukanet tech uses some 3D action.
I’m sure that you can’t really see that with the 2D image, but the cute anime girl is actually following the user’s finger. There is a video after the jump from our old friends at DigInfo News, and it is pretty interesting.
The user will see some interesting 3D images in front of a transparent screen, and the user does not need to touch the screen to interact with the holograms.
The best part is that only the user needs to see what is on the screen. This really makes it cool when you are using this tech on the bank ATM. There is no more peeking over one’s shoulder to see your Pin number.
I definitely want to see this tech more, and I would love to see where it ends up.
