Some of you might remember the Mother technology that I wrote about at CES 2014. I remember that I couldn’t stop making Orwellian comparisons to this device. So much so, that I just stopped talking about it because it needed some compliments.
Oddly enough, I have no problem with the Autographer, which is probably more 1984 than most tech these days. The Autographer is a small digital camera that is essentially made to be worn. This is not so Big Brother will watch you, but so everyone can watch you. Seriously, that whole world of social networking has really made our lives into one reality show that we just want everyone to watch.
The Autographer has five sensors that allow it to shoot at just the right moments automatically, and it has a built-in GPS where photos are taken. It syncs with smartphones via Bluetooth and allows you to share, view, and tag photos. You can even create stop motion videos, sort of like the ones on the Blynk camera that I reviewed a few days ago. This one shoots with a 136 degree field-of-view, and it really says a lot for our society today when a wearable camera could become a fashion accessory.
You can get this on the Autographer site for a price of $399.
