Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)
There is definitely a lot to say about NEEWER, and so today, I’m going to say a little bit more. In fact, I am going to highly recommend them, especially if you are a content creator like me on YouTube. After all, you are going to need good audio and video if you want to make decent content, so why not make it great with an awesome microphone and cool greenscreen?
Our Review of the NEEWER KM18 Wireless Button Lavalier Microphone Kit
As I have said in my video, and I’m pretty certain that I have said in several videos, I use wireless earbuds to do the sound on my vids. It is something that it really isn’t designed for, but I like how the KM18 Wireless Button Microphone with Collar Clip is made for this kind of stuff.
The KM18 Microphone Kit comes in this cool little box that charges by USB-C. All you need to do is open them up, and, assuming that they are charged, they work right out of the flip-top case. I don’t think I read the instructions, and all I did was just plug the receiver in the USB-C port on my phone, and bam, you got yourself an audio link for your microphones.
The microphones themselves then come out of the flip-top case and then sync with the receiver. These things will have indicators to show they are synced, and then you just clip them to your shirt and start talking. Yes, they are magnetically chargeable.
I found that when I connected the receiver, it killed the audio that I was presently using. You can check that out on the video. I suddenly realized that I forgot to put on the furry windshields, really.
Let’s get to some interesting facts. This microphone kit has a 492 feet long range radio, and they have 24 hours long endurance. Any other specs I will put below.
I do recommend this microphone kit, because I found that I didn’t have to turn down the background music so much when I edited my videos. I’m probably going to use it from now on.
Our Review of the NEEWER 2.6x3M / 8.5x10FT Background Support System Lighting Kit with LED Bulb
So, this next product is made to make your videos look more professional, and I fully intend to take full advantage of it. The issue is, I wanted to show how simple it is to use and I don’t think I really used it to its full potential.
Part of it is that the instructions don’t really show how to use the lights to create an ideal green screen/chroma key image. Also, I didn’t realize that the green screen (as well as the included black and white screens) were polyester and full of wrinkles. This led to some weird and somewhat warped effect on the greenscreen, but it still works.
As I mentioned in the video, the instructions did not focus on how to make the setup for the greenscreen. I mean, I figured it out, where you attach some rods together to some kind of curtain rod, and then bridge those on two fold-out tripods. After it was fully assembled, it didn’t look a lot like the picture from the website.
Like I said, this has four lights, two of them are softboxes, and the other have umbrellas. All of these tripods are easily adjustable, and I’m going to see how well I can get this to work well with the green screen.
Personally, my biggest worry that I had with this is that I couldn’t find the proper software to get the green screen effect to work. I have to admit, I couldn’t get the green screen to work perfectly, but is any green screen effect perfect? Actually, I’ve seen green screen work so well, that I had to be told afterword that it worked.
I couldn’t get it to work with Tik Tok, as any tutorial that I found told me to hit buttons that I didn’t find. When I used CapCut, I also couldn’t find the right button, but found something that worked. Then I uploaded the video and you can see the results, but when I tried to do it a second time, it told me that I had to pay for it. I eventually used it in ClipChamp, the video software that I regularly use on my videos, and you had better believe that I will use it once again.

I have reviewed some microphones before, which includes the Smartmike + from Sabinetek, and the Hohem mics. You can compare the prices there.
As far as this Background Lighting Kit, I don’t really think I have ever reviewed anything like this.
