SOLOSHOT2 lets you film yourself automatically

April 9, 2015 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

soloshotYesterday, I covered the Podo camera, which can stick to the wall and allow you to take pictures of yourself. It looks like the SOLOSHOT2 takes selfies to the video level.

For some reason, I have been seeing a lot of ads for SOLOSHOT that precede these YouTube videos that I have been watching. Today, I didn’t hit “Skip Ad”, but I like the idea of a base and tag system that allows a video camera to follow you.

There is a video of it on the website with someone putting on a Tag and then setting up the base camera on a tripod. From there, you can be dancing, running on a beach, or skateboarding on a half-pipe, and the SOLOSHOT2 Camera Controller Accessory will film you, even if you jump or suddenly switch direction, no cameraman required.

Not only that, but you can pair your Tag with multiple Bases so you can shoot from different angles. This allows you to tack the closest, fastest, or whoever has pressed the Tag’s “follow me” button.

Here’s some other specs: the battery life is up to 8 hours with a tag battery life of up to 4 hours. The issue is that the SOLOSHOT2 is only for outdoor use only. You can purchase the SOLOSHOT2 Base and Tag for about $399.00 on the SOLOSHOT Inc site.
