Well, it has been about a few years since I have purchased a new television/display, and the last one was an LG. We’ve had some issues with that particular model, Disney Plus has this terrible lagging during The Mandalorian. I decided to go with Samsung, because, dang it, I seem to be giving part of my annual income to them. I figured that I would review the Samsung TU7000 Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV, and I upgraded from 55-inch to 65-inch.
I’m sure you can relate when I say that getting a new TV feels like getting a new house or new car. I sure looked forward to the picture, and the Crystal Processor 4K certainly makes it terrific. I don’t know how to describe the picture other than that, but I made certain to test it on the new live-action Mulan movie.
So, I am pleased to say that it works really well upon taking it out of the box. I connected it to my TiVo box, and was pleased to see that things showed up just fine. In fact, I was surprised to see a lot of stations showed up that I didn’t even plan for. Seriously, I had no idea that there were so many of these TV stations, and don’t really need cable. In fact, I cut my cable this week, but it was mostly due to loving streaming networks like the aforementioned Disney Plus, Hulu, and Netflix.
Now, I have noticed that there can be some complexity with the controls. I always have to remember where the Menu and Return button is when I am in the dark. So when I want to access those streaming networks that I talked about earlier, it is necessary to go through a menu. It is a menu that, if you push the wrong button, you get lost.
This is the only negative thing I can say. I am very surprised at how much audio power this TU7000 has, and I don’t think I need a soundbar. Oh, it also works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant as well.
So yes, I will recommend purchasing the Samsung TU9000 Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV, and it is available on the Samsung site for about $529.99, with lower or higher prices for the smaller or larger models, respectively.
