Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)
So, what is really going on here? I mean, aren’t we past the age when we need something like this? I mean, remember the early 80’s on how our mobile gaming system were these little games that only played one game? Well, yes, so I am assuming that MyArcade is essentially harvesting nostalgia with the Pixel Pocket.
This one for Tetris kind of showed up for me one day, even though I have reviewed MyArcade Powerstation for Atari, and I have been trying to get a lot reviewed from them since. After all, I grew up in the early 80s and remember how the video game scene was really rising with the Atari, but I kind of checked out when Nintendo took over.
Still, I did play games on my PC, which were definitely not up to the caliber. I do like how the Pixel Pocket is made for portability, to the point that it is a Keychain. Not only can you play Tetris, but you can play 10 other games as well. I think it would be good to watch that on my video, but the 10 other games are about as thrilling as ones from the 80s.
Yeah, you can play for in-depth games on your console or even on your phone now. Also, the Pixel Pocket requires 3 AAA batteries, and I really wish it was just chargeable with USB-C.
Still, if you have a really cool itch for that 80’s gaming charm, this Pixel Pocket is for you, and you’ll probably love this little guy. Maybe you should just collect them all!
Facts About The Company
Normally, when I get to this part of my report, I usually use that company website and their “About Us” as a source. I didn’t see one here, but it’s pretty obvious that this company exists to really bring back that eighties era of video games.
What Does This Company Make?
My Arcade is kind of what its name implies, as it makes miniature versions of old-school arcade games like Pac-Man and Tetris. It’s definitely a nostalgia ride, that is for sure.
Just the Specs, Man
If you’re the type that needs this info, this section is for you!
I can’t find any particular specs on this, so I’ll leave this blank.
If there is something on this that I didn’t cover, please let me know.
What Do the Reviews Say?
I’m seeing a 3.6 out of 5 stars, and I think that rating is a little bit low, but hey, I don’t know what people were expecting other than what it is.
Okay, Get To The Unboxing Already!
Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?
I feel like this Pixel Pocket is essentially the Tiger Electronics handhelds, but we have seen that before, and it is hard to believe that products like these still survive in the age of mobile technology. I don’t know what else the Pixel Pocket series has produced, but we will see.
