We have talked about the Amiibo figures before with their appearance at E3 last summer. What is interesting is now that these figures are out, Nintendo is discontinuing them.
Here is the Nintendo figures that are being discontinuing: Marth, the Wii Fit Trainer and Villager. It is interesting to see that they are discontinued, but there isn’t really a good reason why. Nintendo has apparently stated that the reason is “due to shelf space constraints”.
Okay, did you not plan for this? It seems kind of interesting that Nintendo would just stop selling them. Part of it is me wondering whether or not their absence will purposely cause the figures to rise in their price as a collective. The problem is that I can’t see who would benefit from such a deal.
