I’ve always been pleased with Audio-Technica products, and I was pleased to write about the ATH-PDG1 Premium Gaming Headphones. The last gaming headphones that I tried were from PDP, with the Afterglow Kral. These headphones may not glow at the ears, but they are quite good.
I am not certain if I can really classify these as gaming headphones, because right now, I’m watching Black Mirror on my computer and I’m getting really spectacular sound with good bass (I might be talking about Black Mirror later on on Saturday, by the way). Part of it is the Large diameter 40 mm drivers with CCAW voice coils for “lively, in-the-game sound”.
Not only are these headphones good for gaming or listening to movies on your PC, but it is good for smartphones with a cable and a 6-inch inline microphone. Yes, there was a microphone here so you can use those vocal controls on your PS4, PC, smartphone, or whatever. By the way, I am told these will work for the Xbox One provided that you have
By the way, it is made of some lightweight construction as well as a leather headband and earpads, so it is pretty immersive.
In short, I’m really liking the ATH-PDG1 Premium Gaming headphones. I would recommend them if you are a serious gamer or even not a serious gamer. You can find it on the Audio-Technica site for about $199.95.
