Kiwi Ears Aether Wired Headphone Review

September 25, 2025 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

I have to admit, I had a completely different expectation when it came to the Aether. I have reviewed Kiwi Ears products before, but I thought these were going to be wireless, not wired.

The Kiwi Ears Aether came with a a 15.3mm planar driver along with a multi-layered N52 neodymium magnets, which is good for powerful output and reduced distortion. It also has a very clean sub-bass response, not to mention a flat midrange as well as a natural treble peak for clear, balanced audio.

I’m going to assume that those words mean something to audiophiles, and I’m guessing that is the intended audience. So, these guys have to be plugged in with wires on each earbud to get them to work, and then you need something with a headphone jack to listen.

All in all, the end result is great, but I have to admit that I couldn’t get the eartabs on. I must be doing this wrong, but you can see the video if you want to see a demonstration of that!

If you want to get in on this, head on over to the Kiwi Ears website and lay down $169.99 for it.

Facts About The Company

I just went to the Kiwi Ears site, and this company has “a passion for providing our customers with extraordinary audio reproduction”. Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s in their mission statement that they want to use technology in order to really bring audio to life for their customers.

What Does This Company Make?

The obvious thing is headphones and earbuds, which keeps a lot of companies afloat, really. However, there is a lot of related audio equipment here, and there is a lot to see at all kinds of prices. Some are low-priced, but some are quite high-priced.

Well, let me look at earbuds. I mean, they come in all styles. I recommend just doing a search for “earbuds”, and you will catch a lot of them.
