Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)
It’s time to review another bird feeder that has a camera! Yes, we did this before with Birdfy, and, as I said in the video (which ended up being pretty long), Birdbuddy told me at CES 2025 that Birdfy stole their product idea. I don’t know if there is any lawsuit pending, but you can see in the video how I couldn’t help comparing the two products. I mean, it’s like seeing A Bug’s Life after you just saw Antz.
You can see how simple it was to set up, once you have charged it up. The account has to be set up with a prepare to pay, and I was already charged in spite of it saying that there is a 7-day free trial.
Basically, the Birdbuddy has a camera that links with an app, and from there, you can see videos of the birds who visit your feeder. The app will identify the birds, and you can even hear them chirp. It has 2K video quality with 5MP photos, and sharp focus at a close distance. Just to let you know, it doesn’t work at night, but takes its time to rest for the battery.
I show a bird that I caught on camera, and it is pretty great to see. I feel like if you want to see birds up close because you really like them, I would recommend this.
In addition to the Smart Feeder Pro, I had a chance to review the Solar Roof that I snapped on, and had some difficulty putting it on. The roof costs $59, while the Smart Feeder Pro will cost about $189 at the time of this writing.
Facts About The Company
I’m going to assume that BirdBuddy produces these smart bird feeders, and that’s about all. I mean, I suppose it would need to change its name.
What Does This Company Make?
Well, as I mentioned in the video, they make a hummingbird feeder. Why wouldn’t they? I think they make a bird bath too.

Maybe I Want It, But Is There Anything Else Like It? Maybe For A Lower Price? Please?
Yeah, the only thing I can think of is the Birdfy. Is there really anything else that does this?
