Last year, I saw a company named Dacor at CES, and I greatly admired their Android connected 30″ Stove. Hopefully I will one day be able to afford one in my own household.
I guess it stands to reason that this same company would come out with a range for that oven, which is what the Discovery iQ 48-inch Dual-Fuel Range. It is the first range to feature an integrated, wirelessly-connected tablet. It has a Dacor iQ Controller, which is a control panel with a Dacor iQ cooking application for controlling the range via smartphone or tablet.
The application also allows the user to watch cooking tutorials, download favorite recipes, and access expert cooking advice. It even has a Dacor Guide, which can automatically switch a burner to warming mode and inform the user by text message.
Okay, that is the cool wireless-era tech, and now for the specs on the stove itself. It has 14-inch wide platform Grates for allowing large pots and pans to be transported from burner to burner. It is pretty awesome to see and you can find more information on the stove here, and before I close, I want to mention another advancement, a Discovery WineStation. I’ll let you see how neat this is and give you a link to it here.
