Our Very Positive Review of the Glomensio Firefly Light-Up Address Numbers

April 22, 2025 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

Introduction (Does It Do What It Should)

Before I start talking about the Glomensio Firefly, I want to do something that I have never done before: talk about why I do what I do. For me, it is a pleasure to review the latest in consumer electronics because I love invention, and I believe that technology can change our lives for the better, or at least, make them a little easier. Every once in a while, I see something that I believe can change everything, and yet, is so simple, I can’t help but wonder why I didn’t think of it.

After all, the Glomensio Firefly is essentially light up home address numbers, which might not like something that everyone needs, but it is very obvious that the inventor has taken this to the next level. Even if it didn’t, it already sold me as the numbers light up so they are easier to read.

I mean, if you have ever been looking for an address for a house at night, then it certainly would help if the number was lit up. The best part is that you can light it up in any color you want, and it will only light up if it is not bright out, thanks to its sensor that the user can calibrate.

In fact, if there is someone like a DoorDash driver who is looking for your place to drop off your dinner for the night, it would help to make the home address number blaringly obvious. Fortunately, the Glomensio Firefly has this cool function where you can make your home address number flash in green.

There is also another great feature that really helps when there is an emergency. Thanks to the Glomensio app, you can hit a button for an SOS. As you can see in the video, this button causes the sign to light up in different colors, and it will alert the neighbors that something is wrong. Not only can you do that function from the app, but you can program it to activate when you call a certain number, like 9-1-1 or whatever you program it to be.

Now, just to let you know, you do have to set it up, and I had to use Wi-Fi, but I am told they are creating one that works with Bluetooth. The set-up of the numbers was probably the most difficult part, as you have to pop out these tabs to put in the numbers. By the way, this was sent to me as you see in the video, so I am assuming that this is really custom, because they are my address numbers (yeah, I’m not telling you what street I’m on).

As I mentioned in the video, you will need to mount those number properly (and you can accidentally mount them upside down, even though all the numbers I had could be flipped). I didn’t show this in the video, but there is some wire behind the numerical panel which can magnetically lock onto each of the numbers, now matter how many you have. Again, this is all customizable.

I had to drill some holes in my house’s outside wall, but fortunately, the Glomensio Firefly came with the proper mounts for the screws. It wasn’t too difficult to mount at all, and it would be easy to move if I wanted to.

Personally, I believe that every house needs a Glomensio Firefly is needed on every home, and I like how it creates a sense of community. If you know your neighbors, and they are willing to help, the SOS signal could be the first response to an emergency.

If you want to get in on something that I believe will be the latest home trend, head on over to the Glomensio website and lay down $299 for it.

Facts About The Company

I’m going to assume that this company is pretty young, but it seems that their slogan is “technology that saves lives” not to mention “products with purpose”. That’s about all I could find so far, but if this company has any other ideas that are equal to the Firefly, then perhaps Glomensio could be a household name.

What Does This Company Make?

I’m assuming that the Firefly is the only product that this company makes, but I could be wrong. However, if you to glomensio.com, all I see is information about the Firefly.

I have to admit, the Glomensio Firefly is so unique, I don’t know any product like it, so I can’t really make any comparisons. I am not certain if some company will try and make something cheaper, and I hope I don’t give anyone any ideas. This is because I want to see Glomensio succeed and become a Fortune 500 company, and I look forward to what they have to offer in the future.
