castAR Head-Mounted Display

October 17, 2013 By Techno_Mark Leave a Comment

castAR-hmd-virtual-hologramOh yes, it is always good to see some device that can change the world as we know it. This one has so much potential to change everything as far as gaming and entertainment concerned, and I can’t wait to try it.

This is the castAR, a Head-Mounted display that can bring you 3-D augmented reality right on your eyes. All you need is two micro-projectors that can stay on the cool glasses, and can even fit over prescription glasses.

The castAR has some a tiny camera in the middle of the frame for some infrared markers to track your head movements. The castAR even has this weird wand thing that allows for some interaction.

Now this is a Kickstarter Project, which means that you need to fund it to make it real. Oh wait, it already has its funding, and in a very fast time. You might see it for about $189, when it becomes available.
